WHY DO I LOVE SHOES ?!?
Come on now what girl doesn’t love shoes! I guess, if I had to choose between buying shoes and being in a relationship, I would make myself trip by accident on the buying shoe side, Shhh 🤫 !! A great pair of shoes can make a woman feel like she is on top of the world. Marilyn Monroe couldn’t have said it better in her quote “Give a Girl the right pair of shoes and she will conquer the world!” Yep, I’ve been fiercely conquering the world forever in my shoes, so it’s true.

THE COLOR WHITE
The color white is color at its most complete and pure, the color of perfection. The psychological meaning of white is purity, innocence, wholeness and completion.
In color psychology white is the color of new beginnings, of wiping the slate clean, so to speak. It is the blank canvas waiting to be written upon. While white isn’t stimulating to the senses, it opens the way for the creation of anything the mind can conceive.
White contains an equal balance of all the colors of the spectrum, representing both the positive and negative aspects of all colors. Its basic feature is equality, implying fairness and impartiality, neutrality and independence. It is interesting to note that babies come into the world with a perfect balance of white, ready to imprint their lives with all the colors of the spectrum (hopefully!) from all their life experiences.
Fire Place and Red Sexy Booties !
Love is a fire. Sometimes it may warm your heart or burn down you house. But never be afraid of it.
The Power Of Red Shoes
A woman who wears red shoes automatically sends a message of power and independence to the world. Historically, red shoes have been the symbol for individuals in positions of power: In 1701, King Louis XIV, also know as the humble moniker “the Sun King,” posed for a royal portrait wearing red heeled shoes. At the time, red dye was very expensive and very difficult to come by, so you pretty much had to be a king to afford it. Even the Catholic Pope, traditionally wore red leather loafers since at 1484, until Pope Francis gave them up for comfortable, brown orthopedic shoes. Okay, I guess red shoes have technically been a symbol for men in positions of power, so you can only imagine what happens when a woman tries to claim a traditionally male power symbol.
Every holiday season designers from Miuccia, Prada to Steve Madden and Vince Camuto just to name a few, create festive red sequin pumps and boots that are a wink at ruby slippers. In the case against Yves Saint Laurent in 2011, Louboutin isn’t laying claim to the color red. He’s defending his use of the red outsoles that are the brand’s signature. Since the days when Sex and the City was a hit show on HBO, shoes have attained a cult-like status in this country, and buying expensive, high-fashion footwear is now considered a rite of passage for any aspiring fashion maven.
But really anyone can create a RED pump/boot as long as the quality is good. Just knowing materials such as: PU (polyurethane) sole, TPR (thermoplastic rubber) sole, Leather sole, Plastic sole and Sheet sole; plus knowing what material is best for the upper part of the shoes such as leathers, textiles, synthetics, rubber, foam and plastic, can assist in you making a shoe people will love and want regardless of the price. Then the other important thing is to make the shoes comfortable at any heel height. Don’t you just hate that if the shoe has a 4″ heel you have to pass on it, no matter how sexy the shoe is; me too.
Maybe I’ll get in the shoe making business, because I know a lot about what they are made of. Brands like Louboutin, Miuccia, and Prada don’t take the time to make the shoes comfortable; they just focus on the style. (Lol) Yea, some of my shoes are uncomfortable but stylist, and I love all of them regardless of how my feet feel after wearing them. It’s not about comfort, it is about completing the LOOK with the best shoes. I’m sure most of you ladies can relate. #ijs</p
1st Day of Winter is December 21st
I absolutely love fringes on shoes.
So, you are planning to buy yourself new boots, right? I am here to advise you to try on fringe boots. Fringe boots is one of the best and sexy designs to wear that will never fade, as you see. Of course it’s not a new trend, say hello to 1970, it’s a real comeback that makes you look different and really stylish. Remember everything is possible and coexists ideally if only you make the right balance by perfectly combining the right clothing. So, if you decided to buy yourself some fringe boots, then make sure you pick a sexy classy pair like mine. I brought these about 4 years ago so it maybe hard to find these, but there are several out there by this designer and others.

SPRING/SUMMER SHOE COLLECTION
Bright and Colorful is what Spring/Summer Season is about !!
First, you want to choose shoes that fit. Measuring your feet several times would help you get a clearer idea of what you are looking for. Secondly, trace your feet on a piece of paper to get better measurements. Sounds crazy but it works, trust me. Most people immediately know their shoe size by the length but what about the width? Style’s that are too narrow will cause pain and swelling in the foot: going a half size up will not address those issues. While some people’s feet are within an average shoe width, many need specialty sizing for a good fit. A few tips to remember. If your feet are moving around in your shoes, you probably need a narrower shoe. If your shoes are too tight or pinch, you need a wider shoe size.
Before you buy, do not just quickly try on a pair – walk around the store to make sure that they are comfortable before making your purchase. Then ask yourself a few questions: Are the shoes slipping off? Are they comfortably tight? Do they pinch your foot? If these answers are yes, do not buy them no matter how cute or sexy they are. I know it makes you sad; but not everyone can wear every shoe that’s why there is tons of styles.
For example, most of my stilettos have a strap around the ankle because I need ankle support. My ankles need more than just a single strap to balance in a pair of stilettos. In addition, my flats have arch support inserts because I have high arches. No need to waist money on shoes that are just going to be on the shelf in the closet.
I hope that this helps when you go to purchase your next pair of shoes. And answers the question to why those sexy, cute, stylish shoes that you love so much hurt your feet.
OK, I know you are thinking, “Where can I get those floral platform wedge sandals” (above). I am sorry but those sandals were purchased in 2012. However, they are a sexy sandal that could be worn with an array of color sundresses, shorts and pants. The company name has worn off the inside of the shoe but the shoe is still new looking, so the quality was excellent. Picking out shoes is my expertise. I do not buy shoes for the current FAD of the season. I buy shoes that will stay in style forever. Nine West definitely created a timeless shoe in these. Great Job Nine West, 6 years later and the sandals are still stylish!
Now, the white Steve Madden sandal (Above) was a purchase from 2016 and it looks like this style is timeless as well. Several shoe designers are still making this design. However, the Steve Madden version of the design is my favorite. I love the way the strap goes around the ankle, which gives it a unique look on your foot. Steve Madden did a sling back with a front ankle wrap. Great Job Steve Madden!

What can you do to prevent foot problems ?
Years of wear and tear can be hard on our feet. So can disease, poor circulation, improperly trimmed toenails, and wearing shoes that don’t fit properly. Problems with our feet can be the first sign of more serious medical conditions such as arthritis, diabetes, and nerve and circulatory disorders.
- Practice good foot care.
- Check your feet regularly, or have a member of your family check them.
- Podiatrists and primary care doctors (internists and family practitioners) are qualified to treat most foot problems. Sometimes the special skills of an orthopedic surgeon or dermatologist are needed.
- It also helps to keep blood circulating to your feet as much as possible. Do this by putting your feet up when you are sitting or lying down, stretching if you’ve had to sit for a long while, walking, having a gentle foot massage, or taking a warm foot bath. Try to avoid pressure from shoes that don’t fit right.
- Try not to expose your feet to cold temperatures.
- Don’t sit for long periods of time (especially with your legs crossed).
- Don’t smoke. 🚬
The arch is perhaps the most important structural feature of our feet, which bear 200,000 to 300,000 lbs. of stress each mile we walk. Arches absorb the brunt of the pressure our bodies thrust upon our feet with each stride. Arch height may vary significantly from person to person. It may also change as a person ages, or as the result of various medical conditions. Properly supporting the arch can prevent a variety of musculoskeletal problems that can lead to inactivity and even disability.
