Post Malone, Ed Sheeran & Drake Dominate Nielsen Music’s Mid-Year 2018 Charts

Post Malone’s beerbongs & bentleys, Ed Sheeran’s “Perfect” and Drake’s “God’s Plan” dominate Nielsen Music’s 2018 mid-year charts. (See lists, below.)

Post Malone’s ‘beerbongs’ Rules: For the tracking period of Dec. 29, 2017 through June 28, 2018, beerbongs & bentleys leads as the most popular album in the U.S. The set — Post Malone’s second studio effort — earned 1.791 million equivalent album units in the first half of the year. (Equivalent album units are comprised of traditional album sales, track equivalent albums [TEA] and streaming equivalent albums [SEA]. Each unit — through June 28, ahead the previously announced weighting change — equaled one album sale, or 10 individual tracks sold from one album, or 1,500 on-demand audio streams generated by songs on an album. For the sake of clarity, equivalent album units do not include listening to music on broadcast radio or digital radio broadcasts.) [Read more Billboard News]
