Black Women Made History This Election

Black women made history in some states this election.   The following states have elected their first black women to Congress:  Ayanna Pressley (Massachusetts). Jahana Hayes (Connecticut), Lauren Underwood (Illinois).  Democrat Ilhan Omar  of Minnesota and Democrat Rashida Tlaib of Michigan are the first Muslim women elected to Congress.  Omar is also the first Somali-American to be Congress.
