Tyga neglected to pay the money his company owes a fan, who was badly injured at one of his concerts in 2015
According to court documents obtained by TMZthis link opens in a new tab, legal action was taken against Tyga, 29, as his company, Tyga Music, has not yet paid a settlement awarded to a fan, who was badly injured at one of his concerts in 2015. The “Taste” rapper also did not show up to the hearing regarding the case
The court documents state that Tyga was served an order to appear, but since he did not, the judge issued a warrant, TMZ reports. In addition, the judge has set his bail at $250,000.
Following the 2015 show, Shyanne Riekena sued Tyga’s music company after a light stand fell from the ceiling on to her head, leaving her with a 4-inch gash, TMZ reported.
That same year, Riekena was awarded about $235,000, however, with interest that amount increased to roughly $250,000 in 2017.
A representative for Tyga did not immediately respond to PEOPLE’s request for comment.
“Due to a last minute work obligation Tyga was traveling and was forced to miss his debtor’s exam. The judge issued the bench warrant for the sole purpose of ensuring Tyga will sit for the next debtor’s exam,” a representative for Tyga told TMZ.
