The Black Lives Matter movement has been a collective that has advocated to end the unjust killing of Black people. Its viral outcry has come with a storm of support that has transitioned into media partnerships and collaborations.
For its next project, Black Lives Matter (BLM) showcased BLM x FUBU, its highly anticipated collaboration with the iconic streetwear brand FUBU, at ComplexCon this past weekend in Long Beach, California. This is a crucial election period, so BLM and FUBU teamed up to actively engage with Blacks and other underrepresented communities, as well as millennials and Gen Zers. A part of the BLM #WhatMatters2020 campaign, the line was created to encourage people to vote.
The collection incorporates both classic and fashion-forward pieces, with the original BLM three-stripe streak logos featuring the classic FUBU font style and a bright colors. The line includes a BLM x FUBU hoodie ($60) and a BLM x FUBU T-shirt ($40).
