Colin Kaepernick is ready to get back on the field!

According to news reports,  the free agent quarterback will take part in a private workout organized by the NFL at an undisclosed location in Atlanta on Saturday.

The league sent a memo about the session Tuesday to its 32 teams, saying that the workout, which usually shows off a player’s skills and expertise, will include on-field work and interview time with the former San Francisco 49ers quarterback, ESPN reports. The event will be closed to media.

Kaepernick confirmed the news in a tweet on Tuesday night.

I’m just getting word from my representatives that the NFL league office reached out to them about a workout in Atlanta on Saturday. I’ve been in shape and ready for this for 3 years, can’t wait to see the head coaches and GMs on Saturday. — Colin Kaepernick (@Kaepernick7) November 13, 2019

“I’m just getting word from my representatives that the NFL league office reached out to them about a workout in Atlanta on Saturday. I’ve been in shape and ready for this for 3 years,” he wrote.

Kaepernick added: “[I] can’t wait to see the head coaches and GMs on Saturday.”

n February, the civil rights activist reached a financial settlement with the NFL in his collusion complaint against the league. The former quarterback had filed a joint complaint with Eric Reid against the league in October 2017, claiming that the owners worked together to deprive him of employment.

Kaepernick was without a team soon after drawing national attention for kneeling during the national anthem in protest of police brutality. He parted ways with the San Francisco 49ers in May 2017.

Go Kaep!
