On mild days in fall or spring, you can wear a puffer vest in place of a jacket. It will keep you warm while regulating your body temperature indoors and out. Most vests are made of feathers, polyester or faux fur linings and are water resistant. The puffer vest (or down vest or gilet) has been transformed from performance wear into a fashionable spring/fall staple.
You can style puffer vests with chinos, cargo pants, jeans, slim sweatpants or even a skirt. It is easily paired with long sleeve t-shirts, cute puffy sleeve sweaters, jean or flannel shirts and more. Feeling a bit lazy or in a rush; pair the puffer vest with a long sleeve jumpsuit and wahla you are ready to go.
Checkout how I styled my red puffer vest below. If you don’t have the exact color combination; it is okay. Just use the same outfit formulas and create your own puffer vest look.
However, here is another suggestion. With “WINTER” beginning on December 22, you might want to layer up. A puffer vest can be that extra layer to keep you warm while adding a little color to your outfit. I always tell people to dress inside out and outside in. Meaning your outfit should still pop as you take off layers.
Go to your closet and start styling your puffer vest look now. If you don’t have one you can get one, two or as many as you want at http://www.thegarmenthive.com under “Outerwear”.
This red puffer vest is my favorite. Red is a bold color that will make any outfit pop and standout. You can do red and grey, red and black, red and pink, red and blue; the list goes on and on.
