Body Of Missing Rapper Found Rotting In Friend’s Trunk Following Car Crash
The body of a missing Virginia man was discovered in the trunk of his friend’s car in Miami after he crashed on the highway.
On Sunday, Florida Highway Patrol officers were responding to a crash on the Palmetto Expressway when they noticed a “foul smell” and flies surrounding the car.
The Miami Herald reports that Robert Avery Coltrain, who was friends with the victim, Brian Trotter for over a decade, had been charged with second-degree murder and the illegal transportation of human remains.
Trotter, who went by the hip-hop name Kent Won’t Stop, initially disappeared from Triangle, Virginia, on Oct. 17 after Coltrain picked him up from his dad’s home.
“I heard a knock on the door. It was Rob. He was very reluctant to talk to me. I noticed he was acting really strange,” said Trotter’s father. “Usually, Rob comes in the house. This time, he was real distant and nervous and antsy.”
Detectives found a Glock .45-caliber pistol believed to have been used to shoot Trotter. A possible motive is still being investigated.
“No one can understand what happened,” Trotter’s father said. “Hopefully, police can shed a light on what made a friend of over 10 years decide to commit something like that.”
