Iran Sentences Influencer To Ten Years In Prison For Making Herself Look Like “Zombie Angelina Jolie”
Iranina influencer Sahar Tabar, who went viral for alleged surgery and editing skills that made her face look like a “Zombie Angelina Jolie” has been sentenced to ten years in an Iranian jail due to her social media actions and presence.
Tabar, 19, whose birth name is Fatemeh Khishvand, had over 500,000 followers after sharing the shocking images. Many believed the shocking appearance was just a joke, but not the Iranian government. Initially she claimed she had over 50 surgeries to create the look, but later admitted that it was down to her makeup and photoshop skills. She said she had always dreamed of being famous.
Per Guardian, Tabar’s attorney revealed that she was charged with corrupting young people and for allegedly being disrespectful to the Islamic regime in Iran.
Iranian Journalist Masih Alinejad went to Twitter to say, “10 years jail for Iranian Instagramer who used make up & Photoshop to become a zombie Angelina Jolie.”
“Sahar Tabar is only 19. Her joke landed her in jail,’ she wrote. ‘Her mother cries every day to get her innocent daughter freed. Dear Angelina Jolie! we need your voice here. Help us.”
