Zac Efron’s Aussie friend slams plastic surgery rumors

One of Zac Efron’s closest friends has responded to the rumors he had work done.

“It’s like getting a Picasso and having a kid finger paint all over it,” Kyle Sandilands, 49, said on “The Kyle and Jackie O” radio show in Australia on Friday. “Why bother?”

The radio show host went on to state, “I would know if he’d had any plastic surgery.”

During the conversation, Sandilands also confirmed the news that Efron and his girlfriend, Australian native Vanessa Valladares, had split.

Rumors of Efron having had plastic surgery began in early April after a new clip of him surfaced online. The video, which was a promotion for Bill Nye’s “Earth Day Musical” on Facebook Watch, sparked conversation about Efron’s face – especially his jaw – almost immediately.

It is widely known that Efron broke his jaw in 2013, but it’s unclear if the old injury is related to his “new” look.

This isn’t the first time Efron’s appearance has been in the spotlight. After years of being known for his ripped body, the “Greatest Showman” actor showed off a more relaxed look for his Netflix series, “Down to Earth,” in 2020. Thankfully, fans didn’t seem to mind.

Efron has yet to respond to the rumors he had plastic surgery. He will start working on his next film, “Firestarter,” with Anne Hathaway in Toronto soon.
