A body found in Florida was identified by authorities Monday as the brother of a high-profile missing woman who disappeared more than eight years ago.
Jonathan Suarez, 34, had been missing since his truck was discovered Jan. 16 in a West Orange County subdivision after it was involved in two crashes, News 6 Orlando reported.
The Apopka Police Department confirmed Monday that a body found was positively identified as Suarez, the outlet reported.
Suarez was the brother of Yessenia Suarez, who went missing in October 2013 along with her two kids, the outlet reported.
The three were later presumed dead, and her husband, Luis Toledo, was convicted of murder in all three deaths. He was sentenced to life in prison.

Police have not said whether they were investigating foul play as a possibility in Jonathan Suarez’s death.
His mother, Felicita Nieves, told News 6 that Yessenia Suarez’s disappearance had long-term effects on her son.

“I have a daughter and grandchildren who are missing for eight years, and my son — it keeps hitting him. Some days are harder than others. All that we know is that my son has been missing since (Sunday) night and we haven’t heard a word from him,” Nieves said.
