A young girl has had two of her fingertips severed after she became stuck in some playground equipment in Australia.
The five-year-old girl was playing on a carousel-like piece of play equipment when her hand became stuck and she suffered a serious injury.
Paramedics were called to Strathfield Park’s playground at around 12:30 p.m., however her hand was so seriously stuck, more help had to be called in.
Fire and rescue staff had to disassemble the equipment to free the girl.

Fire and Rescue NSW had to send out fire brigade members to disassemble the equipment in order to free the little girl’s hand and to search for missing parts of her fingers.
She was rushed to The Children‘s Hospital at Westmead for emergency treatment on her injured hand.
That section of the playground, as well as parks with similar equipment across the Strathfield LGA have been sectioned off from the public.

“Council is aware of an incident involving a child and a piece of playground equipment, which occurred at Strathfield Park at approximately 2 pm today,” a Strathfield Council spokesperson told The Daily Telegraph.
