NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — Police are currently on the scene of a stabbing in Norfolk early Friday morning.
According to police dispatch, the call for the stabbing came in around 6:20 a.m. Friday in the 1170 block of North Military Highway. This is at the Janaf shopping center.
Based on footage captured by 10 On Your Side, officers at the scene have taped off a portion of the Walmart parking lot at the shopping center.
Details are still very limited. Officers at the scene told 10 On Your Side the male victim was initially located outside the Walmart Garden Center with a stab wound in the abdomen. He sustained non life-threatening injuries.
Investigators believe the incident began at another location and the still-unknown suspect fled the scene.
